Peralta Fall Festival & Parade: October 30, 9:30am-12:30
Ms. Hellen, Ms. Jessie, Ms. Asha and Ms. June are planning a Fall Festival to celebrate Peralta’s wonderful kids. It will start at 9:30am and end at 12:10pm for Kindergarteners, and 12:30pm for 1st-5th grades, at which time all kids will be in their classrooms getting ready for the parade which starts at 12:55pm.
There will be games, a jumper, music, a firetruck, and a movie (It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown). Lunch will be provided (hot dogs, chips, juice, and a cupcake). If you do not want your child to eat the lunch provided, please send a lunch with them to school. There will be popcorn during the movie and a cookie walk.
Parents are asked to donate a food item:(1 package/child)
Buns – Mr. Hand, Ms. Lucker, Ms. Thomas
Chips (individual pks.) – Ms. Hackett, Ms. Rosen
Capri Suns – Ms. Larsen, Ms. Stewart, Ms. Bandy
Cookies – Ms. Rozario, Ms. Arbogast
Cupcakes – Ms. McGowan, Ms. Hughes
Food should be brought in the day before the festival to avoid last minute shortages. Food can either be delivered directly to the cafeteria or your child can bring it to their classroom and Jessie will collect it.
If you are able to volunteer any time with this extraordinary Fall Festival, between 9:30am-12:30pm, please let Ms. Hellen know.
Parent volunteers are also needed on Thursday, Oct. 29, to help unload pumpkins for our annual pumpkin patch. The pumpkins will be arranged in the Dana Street garden, and each child will choose one to take home. The truckload of 300 pumpkins will arrive at 7:15 a.m., and unloading will take about 30 minutes. Please contact Jen McKillips (jsmckillips AT yahoo DOT com) if you can lend a hand.
