Peralta’s new sliding-scale after-school program P.E.A.C.E. (Peralta’s Enriching and Creative Environment) is off to a busy start. Nearly 200 children—about 2/3rds of the school—have enrolled in the program. This is an unprecedented level of enrollment for Peralta after-school programs, and the staff is working hard to serve them all.

Once again, Peralta students have worked with Artist-in-Residence Ellen Oppenheimer to create a stunning, one-of-a-kind quilt. Perhaps someone in your extended family, or one of your friends and colleagues, will be the lucky winner of this year’s raffle! The drawing will be June, 17 at the Peralta graduation.

Beginning in Fall 2010, Peralta will offer one after-school program with a range of options for all families. The good news is that the provider, Aspiranet, already runs the PASEP after-school enrichment programs and has a staff familiar with our school. They will also be running the after-care program for summer school.
