The annual Peralta Walkathon is nearly here! On Sunday, Oct. 20, Peralta students will strut their stuff, walking for miles around the school to raise money for our gardens, sports program, library, music, and more. The Walkathon is our only student-powered fundraiser, where students get the satisfaction of contributing financially to their school.

Where was the best place to spend the first rainy day of the season? Walking around Peralta School! More than half of Peralta's students, or about 165 kids (plus some assorted younger siblings), walked a total of more than 800 miles to raise money for Peralta at the annual Walkathon on Oct. 17. If it were a relay, they would have made it past Las Vegas, Yuma or Portland!

A big thanks to Walkathon super-organizer Julianna Phillips, as well all the various volunteer crews (safety, set up, snacks, registration, bbq, etc. ). And don’t forget the online Walkathon sponsorship page. You can still get your pledges in by clicking on the Walkathon button at left.
