Listen up, dames & daddy's: Peralta's annual auction is right around the corner, this year with a 1920s Speakeasy/Juice Joint theme. Here's the scoop:

Event: Peralta Uptown Auction & Juice Joint, a speakeasy benefit for Peralta Elementary School Date: Saturday, March 5, 2011 Time: 5-11 pm Place: Uptown Body & Fender, located at 401 26th St., Oakland (between Broadway and Telegraph) Price: $15 in advance; $20 at the door

Just like last year, the ticket price for the auction will include an excellent dinner/dessert + one non-alcoholic drink, and there will be a no-host bar serving $5 drinks including excellent wine and beer, and at least 3 different cocktails (to go with the speakeasy theme). We'll have a DJ spinning tunes, and literally hundreds of great items to bid on, from things you always buy (Peet's coffee, Lanesplitter Pizza, etc), to very special items like a weekend at a lake-front house in Clear Lake, and a Monterey getaway with whale-watching tickets.

Join us for a fabulous party that happens to be a great way to help Peralta's bottom line.

Click here to PURCHASE TICKETS online: Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Click here to PURCHASE CHILDCARE online (for Peralta students only): Childcare is $15/first child, $10/additional sibling (i.e., $25 for 2 siblings, $35 for 3 siblings).

Kidcare will be available at Peralta again (for Peralta students only). The price is a bit higher than last year because the auction is scheduled to run 2 hours longer (5-11 pm), but still an unheard-of price for 6 hours of childcare!! And by our beloved PEACE providers to boot!

Also, there is still time to make a donation! Click here to make a donation.

Thanks for your support and hope to see you at the auction!
